Xenoblade Chronicles X lets up to 32 players cooperate

Form a squad and explore efficiently

There was a Japanese Nintendo Direct this morning focused on Xenoblade Chronicles X. Thanks to some helpful translation, we know a few more details about the Dolls and mechs and cooperative play.

One cool-sounding note is that players can “cooperate and gain experience together. Form squads of 32 members to share free text Blade reports and explore efficiently.” From the video, it looks like players only fight in smaller groups of four, but gain experience as part of the larger group. Neat?
