Also, Exile’s End
XSEED Games just announced plans to publish a trio of indie games (Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity, physical editions of Shantae: Half-Genie Hero on select platforms, and Exile’s End).
Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity is a fan-made action role-playing game based on Team Shanghai Alice’s popular doujin bullet hell series that draws inspiration from Nihon Falcom’s Ys games. It was initially released at Comiket 86 in August 2014 before coming to PlayStation 4 earlier this year. XSEED is targeting a fall release via the PlayStation Store.
Meanwhile, XSEED is lending its distribution experience to WayForward with the developer’s crowdfunded platformer, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero. Boxed versions of the game for PlayStation 4, Wii U, and PlayStation Vita will be available at retail this fall for $30 with a bonus 20-song soundtrack.
Half-Genie Hero will also be available digitally for Xbox One, Windows PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
Finally, Exile’s End, a futuristic metroidvania featuring a soundtrack from Ninja Gaiden composer Keiji Yamagishi, is coming to PlayStation 4, Wii U, and PlayStation Vita later this summer.
XSEED’s parent company Marvelous released Exile’s End on PC via Steam last August,
