Shovel Knight was a great game at launch, but a lot of content is still in development. While the PS3, PS4, and Vita versions will be getting the Kratos boss, every platform still needs a ton of updates, including gender-swap mode, more characters, and the battle mode.
Developer Yacht Club Games has announced that Plague Knight will be the first DLC, and that they are working “full time” on bringing everything over as soon as possible. Plague Knight in particular will feature a new relic system, a remixed campaign, and new characters.
What a perfect excuse to play this near-perfect game again.
