Yakuza 6 gets a whopping nine new characters

The latest issue of Famitsu reveals nine new characters you will encounter in Hiroshima. They will be shown on Sega’s Sega-Nama live stream on August 23. Yakuza 6 is set to release on December 8, 2016 in Japan with no confirmed western release. All the mainline games up through Yakuza 5 have been localized.

The story of Yakuza 6 revolves around Kiryu, who upon being released from jail learns that Haruka is in critical condition in Hiroshima after a serious car accident. Kiryu must step into new territory and deal with the gangs of Hiroshima while trying to uncover what happened to Haruka while he was in jail.

Yakuza 6 [Famitsu via Gematsu]

Takaaki Matsunaga (voiced by Ishimoto Doronzu) – A member of the Hirose family. He has a stern look about him, but does things at his own pace.

Naoto Tagashira (voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya) – A wakashu of the Hirose family. He is an easygoing, but sensible man.

Kazuaki Iino (voiced by Nobuyuki Hiyama) – He has an inseparable relationship with the Hirose family’s Nagumo Tsuyoshi. He has feelings for Kiyomi, but she doesn’t give him the time of day.

Katsumi Sugai (voiced by Ryusei Nakao) – A man who heads the Tojo Clan’s Sugai group. He is a cunning man who was seemingly involved with the big fire in the Asia District. He is an elderly, but dignified man.

Hyozo Iwaomi (voiced by Masane Tsukayama) – A man who in his lifetime built up a global-scale shipbuilding company based in Hiroshima.

Kanji Koshimizu (voiced by Ayumi Tanida) – Himei Association wakagashira. He is the fighting type who craves for battles against the strong.

Koji Masuzoe (voiced by Wataru Takagi) – Boss of the Himei Association’s Masuzoe Group. Not only does he have a stern appearance and behave violently, he is also feared by his subordinates.

Big Rou (voiced by Junpei Morita) – Leader of the Chinese mafia. After the big fire in the Asia District, he launched his full scale advance on Kamurocho.

Han Jungi (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura) – A man driven to devastation by Kazuma Kiryu in the past, and the current head of the Korean mafia’s Jingweon faction.

Takaaki Matsunaga
A member of the Hirose family. Appears stern, but goes at his own pace.

Naoto Tagashira
A young man belonging to the Hirose family. Easygoing, yet savvy.

Kazuaki Iino
Has a strong relationship with Nagumo Tsuyoshi of the Hirose family. Shows affection for Kiyomi, but she is not interested.

Katsumi Sugai
Leader of the Tojo Clan’s Sugai group. Cunning man who may have had some involvement with the the Asia District fire.

Hyozo Iwaomi
Based in Hiroshima, owner of a global-scale shipbuilding company. He is old, but dignified.

Kanji Koshimizu
Himei Association henchmen leader. Fighter thirsty for fights to the death.

Koji Masuzoe
Boss of the Himei Association’s Masuzoe Group. Has a strict appearance and wild behavior. Feared by his subordinates.

Big Rou
Leader of the Chinese mafia. Taking advantage of the big fire, he started a full-blown invasion of Kamurochou.

Han Jungi
Jingweon clan leader (Korean mafia). Was driven into a state of despair by Kiyru in the past.
