No offense to the console-bound Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, but looking over these screenshots, I’m much more eager to play Disney Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion. Visually speaking, this 3DS platformer is everything I had hoped it would be based on prior descriptions.
The Castle of Illusion has fallen into Wasteland, so you can expect plenty of appearances from other Disney characters. On the 3DS’ bottom screen, you’ll be able to draw crude versions of certain objects that can then be moved up to the top screen and rendered as fully realized 3D creations.
That’s cool and all, but Power of Illusion has Scrooge McDuck. I don’t need to hear any more at this point. Okay, okay, just a little more: the game is being developed by DreamRift (Monster Tale) in collaboration with Junction Point and will be releasing this fall.
