Earlier this year, Capcom released Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D to a bit of controversy after word got out that the game featured persistent save data that could not be reset. Soon after, Capcom acknowledged the complaints and claimed that, in light of the reaction, it would be unlikely to implement such a feature in future titles.
3DS owners and Resident Evil fans will be glad to know that Capcom is sticking to their second stance. In the upcoming Resident Evil: Revelations, save data can be cleared, so the title won’t be making its way onto any trade-in black lists or infringe on your player’s rights (whatever those might be).
