Siliconera has word — and a very convincing Japanese website for corroboration — that Capcom is looking to you, the fan, to help decide on what platform you’d like to see the next Mega Man title. Obviously any platform would be suitable for the umpteenth iteration of the lil’ blue fella, but I’d like to think that at least the illusion of choice that Capcom is presenting here should be enough to quell any revolutionary thoughts your Orwell-addled brains might have. Remember kids: four legs good, Mega Man even better!
For those of you who dropped out of Japanese in the eleventh grade, heads filled with horrifying images of sideways cooters and rampant tentacles with a taste for sideways cooters, you’ll be saddened to learn that the link above to Capcom’s survey is only available in the pictographic Language of the Rising Sun. Of course, as the Internet’s friend to the Nipponophile, Siliconera managed to decipher the glyphs, and has presented a handy key for solving the survey within that first link I presented.
Personally, I’d like to sway all of you into voting “Arcade”. In an era where we line our bird cages with copies of Madden and Tomb Raider, a modern update of Mega Man: The Power Battle, would warm the cockles of my heart.
