We’ve fallen into something of a weekly routine here. As long as Epic keeps giving away free games every week, we’re gonna keep writing about them.
Last week, I feigned enthusiasm for Surviving Mars (Ha, you were deceived!), a Paradox-published city builder about colonizing Mars. This week, the enthusiasm is real — and you have my word that I won’t pop back up next Thursday to tell you that you were tricked again. Remedy’s Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is free on the Epic Games Store this week, and that’s a game that I wholeheartedly recommend.
There’s more! If American Nightmare‘s surreal dreamscape time loop isn’t your thing, Bloober Team’s cyberpunk brain-infiltrating horror game Observer is also free. Two titles with no shortage of compliments paid their way, right in time for Halloween too.
Of course, you have until October 24 to claim these two games for your library. Next up: QUBE 2 and Layers of Fear.
