The Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of Destruction set is an exciting, fiery set that introduces a new fire dragon and makes the most of the previous set’s Ashened theme.
When it launches, the Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of Destruction will continue the story of Sinful Spoils, Snake-Eyes, and Diabellstar the Black Witch. Maybe the most interesting thing about it is the addition of a theme that will bring together plant, insect, and reptile-type monsters, uniting them under a single banner to help you destroy your opponents. It’s quite a wild ride in just 101 new cards, one that advances the game by leaps and bounds.
What is the release date for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of Destruction set?
The release date for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of Destruction set is April 26, 2024. However, it becomes tournament-legal and will be available from local game store tournaments on April 24, 2024, in select stores. This means that there’s a bit of confusion around the official release date, with most retailers going right in the middle on April 25, 2024. My bet is that some retailers ship their products early, but you won’t be able to get it in-store outside of tournaments until the official release date.

All rarities in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of Destruction set
The Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of Destruction set contains 100 cards consisting of 50 Commons, 26 Super Rares, 24 Ultra Rares, and 10 Secret Rares. However, 24 of these cards can be found in Booster Packs as Quarter Century Secret Rares, but you’ll only have a chance to get one of them in every Booster Pack.
This is a smaller pool of rarities compared to the Yu-Gi-Oh! 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II set, but that’s because this is a core set focused on adding important playable cards instead of bringing bigger and better rarities to the table.
Where to buy the Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of Destruction set
The first place you should look to purchase the Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of Destruction set from is your local game store. It’s well worth supporting these businesses because they also run the tournaments we love so much. However, if you don’t have access to a local game store, I’ve listed a few online retailers where you can pick the set up.
- Magic Madhouse (US & UK): Magic Madhouse is a safe, reliable online retailer that offers every Yu-Gi-Oh! product as it comes out. The advantage here is that you can get a case of 12 Booster Boxes if you’re so inclined.
- Amazon (US & UK): Amazon is very hit-and-miss when it comes to TCGs. At the time of writing, you can get a few different products for this set, but they’re all more expensive than the dedicated hobby websites.
- Chaos Cards (US & UK): Chaos Cards lists every upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! product that’s been revealed to date. While its pricing looks good, it’s not upfront about how much you’ll spend for a single Booster Box. There are discounts available if you’re buying in bulk, making this the best place to get a dozen Booster Boxes from. There’s also a loyalty scheme that, should you buy enough, could save you some cash on the game in the future.
- The Card Vault (Worldwide): The Card Vault isn’t a site I’ve used before, but its reputation is fantastic, especially its customer service, and it offers loads of Yu-Gi-Oh! products. Something I’ve noticed is that they’re definitely the cheapest retailer online and don’t have the same system as Chaos Cards, so you’re paying under the market price for Booster Boxes here.
- Unicorn Cards (Worldwide): Unicorn Cards is another retailer that’s charging much less than most companies out there for this set. I’ve got no experience with it, but I have looked around and seen many players say they’ve had a great experience using it, especially in the UK.
