Zen Pinball coming to Tegra-powered Android devices

Pinball master Zen Studios is giving Android gaming a shot in the arm soon. The developer has announced that it will be bringing Zen Pinball to the mobile operating system powered by NVIDIA Tegra.

Called Zen Pinball THD, Zen says NVIDIA’s powerful mobile chip will allow for stunning visuals, as well as true-to-life table physics. THD will feature “several” tables, the first of which will be “Sorcerer’s Lair,” shown in these first screens. The title will also feature support for head-to-head online multiplayer, as well as planned tournaments.

As a huge fan of Zen’s pinball titles (Pinball FX 2 for Xbox Live Arcade being among my top favorites of last year), this is great news… for folks who have mobile devices powered by TEGRA. I do not. And now I have to get one, obviously.

Zen Pinball THD will be shown off this week for the first time in San Francisco at the 2011 Google I/O Developer conference. We’ll be checking it out, as well, so stay tuned for impressions and more details shortly.
