In order to acquire the 4-Star Phoenix Summon Materia in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you need to first find all the Phoenix crystal locations in the Junon Region. You first access this region in Chapter 4, at which point you can start hunting down the Phoenix crystals. Here are all the FF7 Rebirth Phoenix Divine Intel locations in the Junon region.
What are Phoenix Crystals in FF7 Rebirth?
The Phoenix Crystals and Divine Intel in FF7 Rebirth serve two purposes: weakening the Phoenix boss fight required to obtain the Phoenix Summon Materia, and increasing the strength of the Materia once it’s in your possession. Each Phoenix Crystal you obtain will further weaken the boss encounter to the point of making it quite trivial. However, all the total buffs you will receive for obtaining all three Divine Intel will make your Phoenix Summon Materia two levels higher and grant your Phoenix the Reraise and Arise abilities.
Divine Intel 1: Phoenix Sanctuary Alpha α
You’ll need Belle(check here on how to get her) to access this Phoenix crystal, as you need to climb up some cliffside to reach it. Once you have Belle, head north out of Gabe’s Ranch towards the climbable cliffside to the north. It’s just west of the Wainwright’s Hut and just east of the Desolate Worksite Cache Location.
Climb up the first two walls and then you will be able to climb up a wall on the left or the right. You want to climb up the wall on the left as the wall on the right leads to a Lifespring. At the top of that wall you will see the first Phoenix crystal right ahead.
Interacting with the Phoenix crystal will prompt the Crystal Memory Matrix mini-game. For this specific crystal, the pattern is what you see in the screenshot above. Press Square at about the 2:45 mark, then the 4:00 mark, followed by Triangle at about the 5:45 mark and the 6:30 mark.
Successfully completing the Crystal Memory Matrix will complete your first Phoenix crystal Divine Intel and accumulate some Regional Data!
Divine Intel 2: Phoenix Sanctuary Beta β
For the second Phoenix crystal, you want to start at Crow’s Nest and head north out of the town. You should see a Phoenix crystal clue as well as a climbable wall right next to it. Head up this wall. Continue north past the two Zemzellett’s and then up another climbable wall.
Continue north through this canyon and it will start to curve left which is where you will see the second Phoenix crystal. Interact with it to start the Crystal Memory Matrix mini-game. You can reference the solution in the screenshot above, but it is essentially X at the 2:30 mark followed by Square at the 3:30 mark. X again at about the 5:45 mark and Square at 6:15.
Completing this Crystal Memory Matrix will grant you your second Phoenix crystal Divine Intel and 10 Regional Data.
Divine Intel 3: Phoenix Sanctuary Gamma γ
The final Phoenix crystal location at Divine Intel 3 is tricky to find based on looking at its location on the map. But once you know where to look, it’s actually really easy to get to. It requires you to have unlocked Crow’s Nest. Fast Travel there then head south out of Crow’s Nest and you will see a Crystal clue formation immediately outside of the settlement. Hook left and follow the path all the way around until you reach the Crystal in a small cave.
You can look at the screenshot above for the Crystal Memory Matrix mini-game for this final Phoenix crystal. Hit Circle at about 2:30 and then X at about 4:00. Then hit X again at about 7:00 and then Circle at 9:00.
Successfully synchronizing the final crystal will complete the Phoenix crystal analysis for Chadley, fully empowering the Phoenix Summon material to 4 Stars!
